Suzani Puffy Coat

The Suzani Puffy Coat is made from an overdyed vintage hand embroidered Suzani.  It has cotton filling, satin lining, front zip closure, with 6 button clasps, two front rectangular pockets with two button clasps on the corners of each pocket plus is has a hood! The Suzanis is one-of-a-kind embroidered textiles made in Uzbekistan. Originally made for women's dowries, this embroidered technique has been passed down from mother to daughter since ancient times. Each symbol, pattern and color are specifically chosen by the creator to tell a story.
