Ikat Trouser

The Ikat Trouser is made from a limited-edition silk & cotton Ikat hand loomed in Uzbekistan. The Ikat trouser is high waisted with front zipper and one button closure. It’s embellished with belt loops, button flaps at waist, side pockets, one back pocket and pleated hem with buttons.  Uzbek Ikat uses a technique, abrandi, "bounded cloud". It is a process of resist dyeing, bounding the warp yarns, which later dyed by hand, before being woven with the weft yards. Wearing Ikat fabric was once equivalent to wearing gold medals, its artistry was recognized with prestige.
