The Medici's of the Italian Renaissance were known for their extravagant jewelry. When Cosimo I de' Medici married Elenora of Toledo, her wardrobe became a tool for status and symbology. Her most iconic was the gemstone tasseled drop belt. This faceted glass bead belt can also be used as a necklace. It's 24k gold-plated orb is incrusted with jade bead inlay and hangs like a tassel drop.
The orb measures 1"x1", the strand dropping from the clasp measures 9" and the clasp to jumpring is 33".
